Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you (the user, student, or client) and Shanu Quraishi / Search Extension (referred to as "we", "us", "our", "I", or "my" interchangeably throughout this document).

Your acceptance is confirmed by any of the following:

• Continuing to browse or use this website
• Submitting a contact form, course enrolment, or newsletter signup
• Making any payment to us
• Signing a written engagement letter or course enrolment form

Key definitions

Use of the website

You may use this website to learn about my courses and services, read the blog, sign up for the newsletter, or contact me. You agree to:

• Use the site only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to copy, scrape, or replicate the site or its content for commercial use
• Not introduce viruses, malware, or any code that could damage the website or its users
• Not impersonate me, my team members, or any other party
• Not use the contact form to spam or send promotional content

Your account

If you enrol in a course, you may be given access to a student portal or learning management system. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential
• Not sharing your account access with anyone — this is a major violation and can lead to immediate termination without refund
• Not downloading, screen-recording, or redistributing course materials
• Informing me immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

Course enrolment

Enrolment in any course is confirmed only upon receipt of the agreed fee (full or first EMI instalment) and submission of the enrolment form.

What's included

• All scheduled live sessions for the duration of the course
• Access to session recordings (online courses)
• The 200-page course companion book (shipped to your address in India, where applicable)
• Internship at Search Extension on real client projects
• Course completion and internship certificates upon successful completion
• Direct post-course WhatsApp access for queries (indefinite, subject to fair use)

What's not included

• Paid SEO/marketing tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.) — we cover free versions and trial accounts during training
• Personal ad budgets for live campaigns — we use agency-owned client accounts for hands-on training
• Domain or hosting fees for your personal projects (these are nominal & demonstrated during class)
• Job guarantees or salary guarantees (see Section 9 below)

Fees, EMI & payments

Current course fees:

• Digital Marketing Course (offline & online): ₹30,000
• Advance SEO Course: ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 (varies by cohort)
• E-Commerce Course: ₹16,000 to ₹19,000 (varies by cohort)

All fees are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive or exclusive of GST as stated on the invoice.

EMI plans

EMI is available for most courses on the following structure:

• Digital Marketing Course: ₹10,000 before classes start, balance ₹20,000 in 2 instalments over the next 2 months
• Other courses: approximately 50% upfront, balance split over the course duration

EMI instalments are due on the dates specified in your enrolment form. Late instalments may result in suspension of class access until cleared. If an EMI remains overdue for more than 30 days, enrolment may be cancelled without refund of fees already paid.

Service fees

Service engagements are quoted individually and confirmed via a written engagement letter. Standard payment terms are 50% advance, 50% on completion for project-based work; monthly billing in advance for retainer work.

Refund & cancellation policy

Before classes start

If you cancel 7 or more days before the start date, you'll receive a refund of fees paid minus an administrative fee of ₹2,000.

If you cancel between 1 and 6 days before the start date, 50% of fees paid will be refunded.

After classes start

• Within 7 days of the first class: 25% refund of fees paid, subject to attendance review and a brief feedback discussion
• After 7 days: no refund — but you may transfer your enrolment to the next batch, one time only, at no extra cost
• EMI students: the refund logic applies only to fees actually paid; unpaid EMI obligations are waived if cancellation is accepted

Service engagements

Service refunds are handled case-by-case as per the terms in each engagement letter. For retainers, either party may terminate with 30 days written notice; fees for the notice period are due in full.

Force majeure

In situations of force majeure (natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.), I will work in good faith with affected students — including batch rescheduling, mode change from offline to online, or partial credit. No refund is guaranteed in such cases.

Student & client conduct

I expect a basic standard of conduct — the same standard I commit to from my side. By enrolling or engaging, you agree to:

• Treat me, my team, fellow students, and clients with respect
• Not record live sessions without explicit permission (recordings are provided through official channels)
• Not redistribute course materials, the book, or any internship project data
• Not use access to agency client accounts (during internship) for unauthorised purposes
• Maintain confidentiality of any client data you see during internship
• Not engage in plagiarism, fake portfolio claims, or false representation of your role

I reserve the right to terminate enrolment for serious conduct violations — without refund.

Certificates & outcomes

On successful completion of a course you receive:

• A course completion certificate from Shanu Quraishi
• An internship certificate from Search Extension if you complete the internship component

"Successful completion" means meeting attendance minimums (typically 80% of sessions), completing assignments, and finishing the capstone project.

Service engagements

For clients hiring me or Search Extension for services:

• Every engagement is governed by a written engagement letter or scope document
• Specific deliverables, timelines, and fees are defined in that document
• I do not guarantee specific business outcomes (rankings, revenue, ROAS, etc.) — only that the agreed services will be delivered with industry best practices
• Client cooperation (timely feedback, asset provision, access to systems) is required for the engagement to deliver results
• For SEO engagements: a minimum 4-month commitment applies because SEO results compound over time

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including the curriculum, course materials, the 200-page book, recordings, blog posts, videos, frameworks, and the website design — is the intellectual property of Shanu Quraishi and/or Search Extension.

What you can do:

• Use course materials for your personal learning and career
• Share blog posts, videos, and podcast episodes on social media with proper attribution
• Quote from the book or blog with credit (within fair use limits)

What you cannot do:

• Resell, redistribute, or republish course materials
• Use my content to teach paid courses of your own
• Strip attribution and pass off my frameworks as your own
• Train AI models on my content without explicit written permission

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

• I provide courses and services on an "as available" basis
• I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• My total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have actually paid me in the 12 months preceding the claim
• I am not responsible for losses arising from your business decisions, market changes, or third-party platform changes (e.g. Google or Meta algorithm updates)

Termination

I reserve the right to terminate your enrolment or service engagement immediately, without refund, if you:

• Breach these Terms & Conditions
• Engage in conduct that harms me, my team, students, or clients
• Distribute pirated course content or steal proprietary frameworks
• Submit fraudulent payment or use chargebacks abusively
• Misrepresent your identity or background

Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be resolved as follows:

1. Direct conversation first. Email me at ask@shanuquraishi.com — I read these personally and resolve most issues within a week.
2. Mediation through a mutually agreed mediator if direct conversation doesn't resolve the issue.
3. Courts in Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any remaining disputes.

Changes to these terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to existing students, clients, and newsletter subscribers. Continued use of the website or services after updates means you accept the revised terms.
